The clauses below set out the rights, obligations and responsibilities of all parties to this Agreement. “You” / “your” = the Customer. We reserve the right to amend these Terms without prior notice; the version published on our website at the time of your booking will apply. See Clause 4 for our cancellation policy.
1 Introduction
1.1 Please read these Terms and your Order Confirmation carefully and ensure all details are complete and accurate before committing to a contract. If you believe any detail is incorrect, request written confirmation from us; we can only be bound by statements we make in writing.
1.2 Clean and Carry is a trading name of Clean and Carry Ltd, registered in England & Wales with its registered office at 40 Bedford Road, London.
2 Bookings & Confirmation
2.1 When booking you must provide an accurate description of the premises (number of rooms, floors, access restrictions, parking, etc.). We may amend the quote and charge for any extra work resulting from incomplete or inaccurate information.
2.2 If we arrive to find conditions differ materially from your description, we may (a) cancel the Order and charge a £50 call-out fee, or (b) proceed and levy a reasonable additional charge.
2.3 Access:
- You must supply working keys in advance or ensure someone is present to grant access.
- If our crew cannot enter because no-one is present, keys are missing or locks malfunction, a £50 minimum call-out fee applies.
- Key pick-up/drop-off journeys exceeding 3 miles each way incur an additional mileage charge.
2.4 A valid debit/credit card must be provided to secure all bookings.
2.5 We confirm a booking slot by email/SMS. Start times are estimates; traffic, weather or force-majeure events may cause delays.
2.6 Parking: Customers are responsible for arranging permits, suspensions or spaces. Any parking fees or penalty charges incurred during the service are added to your final bill.
3 Pricing & Payment
3.1 Quotes are based on information and images you supply. We may amend on site if additional work is required.
3.2 Payment is due in full on completion (cleaning) or immediately after unloading (moving) unless we request a deposit or pre-payment.
- Accepted methods: cash to our operatives, major cards by phone/terminal, or bank transfer by prior agreement.
- We do not accept cheques.
3.3 Minimum charges (incl. VAT):
- Carpet Cleaning £55
- One-Off / Deep Cleaning £144
- Moving Service £160 (two-person crew, first two hours)
3.4 Extras may apply: London Congestion Charge (£15), ULEZ, or mileage outside the M25 (rate quoted at booking).
4 Rescheduling & Cancellation
4.1 Cancelling with < 24 hours notice: £50 fee.
4.2 Rescheduling with < 24 hours notice: £25 admin fee.
4.3 Only cancellations made by phone or email (not voicemail) are valid.
5 Services
5.1 General Requirements
- Adequate lighting, electricity and hot water must be available.
- We reserve the right to cancel on arrival if conditions endanger staff (e.g. vermin, hazardous waste, aggressive behaviour).
- You or your representative should attend at job completion to inspect and sign off. Absence = deemed acceptance.
- We may subcontract some or all services.
- Delays outside our control (traffic, breakdown) may shift start/finish times; we will complete as soon as reasonably possible.
5.2 Cleaning Services
Pre/End-of-Tenancy Cleaning
a. We do not wash/paint walls or ceilings.
b. Premises must be clear of personal belongings; otherwise we may refuse or add a surcharge/return visit fee.
c. Scope includes floors, reachable windows, kitchen appliances, cupboards, worktops, skirting, doors, descaling bathrooms, disinfecting surfaces.
d. Fridge/freezers must be defrosted 24 h beforehand or they will be excluded.
e. All detergents/equipment supplied by us. Carpet/upholstery/curtain steam cleaning is not included unless booked separately.
f. Washing dirty crockery/utensils: +£20.
g. Exterior/patio cleaning available at additional cost.
h. Re-Clean Guarantee: For End-/Pre-Tenancy cleans only. Report issues in writing within 48 h, attach inventory report & photos. We will re-clean affected areas once at no charge, provided the original invoice is paid. Complaints after 48 h or after new occupants move in are void.
Carpet & Upholstery Cleaning
a. Service available only where machines can be safely transported; no lift = no service above 1st floor.
b. We move light items only. Heavy furniture (beds, wardrobes, American fridge-freezers) must be cleared by you.
c. Carpets remain damp after cleaning; typical drying 2–12 h depending on ventilation. We are not liable for damage/discolouration caused by replacing furniture onto damp carpets.
One-Off / Deep Cleaning (Hourly)
- Minimum booking: 2 cleaners × 4 hours. Charged in 30-minute increments thereafter.
- Tasks may include reachable windows, frames, skirting boards, floor & tile washing, full kitchen/bathroom sanitisation.
- Carpet steam cleaning can be added at extra cost.
Curtain Steam Cleaning
- Performed in situ; 5–10 % natural shrinkage risk. Client responsible for checking care labels.
Rubbish Removal
- We remove light household rubbish only where a designated on-site bin/store is provided. Additional refuse disposal (e.g. council tip) is chargeable.
5.3 Moving / Removals Services
a. Standard crews are two movers with a van. Extra movers, packing materials or larger vehicles available on request and quoted in advance.
b. You must:
- Provide an accurate inventory and declare fragile/heavy items (over 25 kg single-lift).
- Ensure all goods are packed, labelled and ready unless you purchase our packing service.
- Reserve legal parking at both addresses.
c. We will not move hazardous items (gas bottles, flammables, firearms, cash, jewellery, perishable or illegal goods).
d. Insurance & Liability:
- We carry Goods-in-Transit cover up to £10,000 per vehicle. Higher cover available for a fee—request at booking.
- Our total liability for loss/damage (cleaning or moving) is limited to the lesser of (i) repair/replacement value, or (ii) the amount you paid for the service.
- We are not liable for: wear-and-tear; pre-existing defects; items packed by you; electrical/mechanical derangement with no visible damage; delays due to traffic, weather or council restrictions.
6 Liability Exclusions
We are not liable for losses arising from:
- Services incompletely performed because essential utilities were unavailable.
- Wear, fading or discolouration becoming visible once dirt is removed.
- Shrinkage of curtains or fabrics inherent to steam/cleaning process.
- Damage to floors where furniture lacked protective pads.
- Third-party interference during service.
- Obstructed access preventing cleaning under heavy items.
Complaints raised later than 7 working days after service will not be considered.

- Access: We may suspend or withdraw site access without notice. You are responsible for anyone using your connection to access the site.
- Transactions: We act as principal for our own crews and as introductory agent for vetted subcontractors; contracts form when you accept a written Order Confirmation.
- Intellectual Property: All site content is ours or our licensors’. You may print or download for personal use only and must not modify or use for commercial purposes without consent.
- Security: Uploading malicious code or attacking the site is a criminal offence. Offenders will be reported to law-enforcement agencies.
- Links: You may link to our home page fairly and legally but not frame our site or suggest endorsement. We are not responsible for content on linked sites.
8 Data Protection (GDPR)
- We process your data lawfully to manage quotes, bookings and after-care.
- We never sell your data.
- Marketing emails are opt-in only; you may unsubscribe any time.
- Records are held for 36 months then securely deleted unless you re-engage our services.
- You may request a copy of your stored data or ask for deletion; we respond within 15 business days.
9 Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England & Wales. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts, but we may also pursue remedies in any jurisdiction where you operate or own assets.
